Dried Flower Shadow Box Workshop #2
Description
Put on your creative hat and get ready to play with flowers — no prior experience required!
This relaxed, hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners who enjoy arts and crafts and would like to explore creating with dried flowers. Using a shallow shadow box and a beautiful selection of dried flowers, foliage, and natural materials prepared by the Community Flower Studio (CFS) team, you’ll be guided step by step in designing your own framed floral artwork.
Instead of arranging flowers in a vase, you’ll use collage techniques to compose a unique piece inside a shadow box — layering dried flowers, nuts, and foliage to create texture, colour, and visual harmony. Each piece becomes a miniature garden captured in a frame.
Flowers speak the language of love — expressing admiration, celebration, and care. Dr Bibiana Chan will share her passion for working with flowers, along with the wellbeing benefits of slowing down, engaging your senses, and reconnecting with nature through creative making.
With easy-to-follow techniques and plenty of encouragement, you’ll gain the confidence to experiment with natural materials and design your own floral artwork. By the end of the session, you’ll bring home not one, but 2 beautiful Dried Flower Shadow Boxes that can brighten your home or become a thoughtful handmade gift.
