Event description

Ready your not-for-profit for the future

  • Do you know you need to take action to address climate change but don’t know where to start?

  • Do you want to strengthen your organisations’ planning and readiness for change?

  • Do you want practical tools and support to measure, assess, and report on your organisations’ impact?

In partnership with Rātā Foundation, our Earth+ Resilience and Emissions Reduction programme has been designed to flip the script on climate change, centering your organisation as agents of change and kitting you with the tools, support and community to make a difference; and it’s free of charge!

About the programme

With the support of the Terra Nova team and other programme participants, you will be guided to identify how your organisation is uniquely placed to contribute to the resilience and wellbeing of people and planet, and the opportunities and obstacles to creating positive change.

The programme is accessible and suitable for everyone, from those just starting on the journey, to those who have steps in place but are looking to gain access to further resources. This programme is not intended to add extra workload or deliverables for your organisation, it is an offer of support to integrate an Earth+ approach into your BAU; an answer to the question “what can we do about climate change?”

We know that every organisation’s capacity is different, so our support is available for you to utilise it when you need it until the end of 2025. This includes:

  • Access to a dedicated online community where you can connect with the Terra Nova team, other Rātā grantees and specialised partners. Ask questions, find resources and share your journey.

  • A toolkit of resources and impact sessions to develop your knowledge and connect you with the expertise and support to build resilience and tackle change in a range of impact areas.

  • Complementary access to the Cogo carbon emissions measurement tool, providing you the ability to quantify and report on your emissions impact and providing recommended actions for emissions reduction and cost savings, in an easy-to-use format.

It begins with a 1-day interactive workshop to kick things off. By the end of the workshop, you will walk away:

  • Feeling more empowered about the future, with a deeper understanding of resilience and climate change as it relates to your organisation’s context.

  • Having explored how you can make change positive and achievable, centered on the needs of your community and team.

  • With free access to Cogo carbon manager, an emissions profile, report of your carbon footprint and practical action you can take to reduce your emissions.

  • Having built a network of support and gained free-to-use practical tools and templates.

Note: we will be running multiple workshops throughout the year; you only need to attend one workshop to join the programme. If you prefer an alternate date, please head to our Humanitix profile to find the corresponding event.

The programme is fully funded for not-for-profit organisations and registrations are now open for 2025! Register for the programme and secure your spot in a workshop through this Humanatix event, and a member of the Terra Nova team will be in touch to confirm your enrollment. For more information about the programme and workshop, visit the Terra Nova website.

We look forward to welcoming you into our community of changemakers!
