Join Sarah Comer on an educational field excursion within the Shire of Ravensthorpe - Location to be discovered, so come prepared.
Sarah Comer is an ecologist with Bush Heritage Australia, South west. Previously DBCA Field Ecologist for 23 years Sarah’s work focuses on improving conservation of biodiversity; through managing and implementing threatened species recovery programs, building an understanding of fire ecology, documenting the remarkable biodiversity of the south coast and integrating science into management of species, communities and conservation reserves in the region. In recent years Sarah has been actively involved in efforts to improve introduced predator control programs in the region, and has been responsible for leading the adaptive management project trialing landscape scale feral cat control through the delivery of Eradicat baits. Sarah is building on this project through her PhD studies at the University of Western Australia, which are focused on improving understanding of feral cat ecology in south coastal ecosystems.
