Bundaberg has one of the strongest entrepreneurial education ecosystems in Australia with engaged industry, council, educators, students, community and alumni. Let's make it even better by strengthening our relationships, getting more members, and supporting the future of food in Bundaberg.

We are teaming up with Food Futures and we need council and industry mentors and educators to jump on board to support the region's young female food entrepreneurs and our educators.

About Food Futures

DESIGNING TOMORROW'S FOOD SYSTEM: We support, commercialise and invest in agile startups, entrepreneurs and disruptive technologies to be the vehicles of change for a better food system. They have a particular passion for STEM and Indigenous Agriculture and foods.

About Young Change Agents is a not-for-profit social enterprise that specialises in helping youth develop their enterprising skills, such as innovative, critical and creative thinking, using initiative, being adaptable, problem solving and decision making skills, as well as communication and collaboration. Our mission is to reach every young Australian to help them see problems as opportunities through the vehicle of social enterprise. We do this through school workshops and entrepreneurial education development in the form of professional development workshops, national un-conferences and technology which enables access to all.

About Future of Food Design Challenge
This is a national design challenge designed and facilitated by Young Change Agents and supported by Future Foods, Future Healthy and VicHealth.
This challenge is a great way build student confidence, and resilience and encourages them to view problems as opportunities. They learn about the future of food challenge and through design thinking, they create social enterprises to address their future of food passion opportunity. Thanks to the Academy for Enterprising Girls (AEG), Young Change Agents is facilitating an AEG program for 60 Kepnock State High School female-identifying youths on 7 May 2024 and we would love a feedback panel of experts.

About Academy for Enterprising Girls
The Academy for Enterprising Girls (AEG) funds 1-day programs within schools for female-identifying youths aged 10-18 to think creatively and critically, further developing their entrepreneurial mindsets, skillsets and toolsets for success. Participants also get to develop and hone their collaboration, teamwork, communication, creativity and design-thinking skills.
