The Foraging Course is a 5 week exploration of foraging, wildcrafting, wild edibles and medicinal cuisine. The Perma Pixie will take you on a weekly immersion looking at plants in depth.

You will learn:

  • The Importance of Wild Foods
  • Medicine as Food
  • The difference between cultivated foods and wild food
  • Sustainable Wildcrafting
  • Safe Foraging
  • Identification
  • Nutrition and properties of several plants in depth
  • Recipes for each of these plants

PLUS The Perma Pixie will share delicious condiments, foods and beverages made from these plants to celebrate at the end of the evening of learning!

Celebrate food diversity with this face to face, hands-on and interactive course.

When: 5 Weeks, Wednesday Evenings, 6:00-7:30pm
Where: Merri Creek, Coburg, Victoria
Cost: $330 

Course Schedule

Week 1: 8th February Safety & Sustainability
Week 2: 15th February Shoots & Leaves
Week 3: 22nd February Flowers & Blossoms
Week 4: 1st March Seeds & Sap
Week 5: 15th March Roots & Fruits (during the final workshop you are invited to bring a dish using foraged ingredients to share)

Please note that there is a week break between week 4 and week 5.
