FRINGEWORLD Human Library Book Café
Engage in 30 minute dialogues with our courageous Human Books.
Join us at FRINGE WORLD for this FREE drop-in event and engage in meaningful dialogues with our Human Books to discover the stories behind assumptions, challenge preconceptions, and ‘un-judge’ someone at the Human Library Book Café.
In the Human Library®, our Books are real people from the community who have experienced prejudice, stigmatisation, or discrimination often due to their lifestyle, diagnosis, beliefs, disability, sexuality, or social status.
This unique opportunity aims to challenge stereotypes and build understanding. Come along and “unjudge” someone! You'll enter a safe space to “borrow” human beings serving as Human Books and engage in conversations and ask questions.
Session Details: Each session lasts for 30 minutes, with up to 4 Readers per Book. You may wish to ‘borrow’ multiple Books during the event (subject to availability).
