From Scraps to Stage - Turning Waste into Stories
Description
From Scraps to Stage – Turning Waste into Stories
Suitable for kids and adults
What if an old cardboard box could become a hero? What if a fabric offcut could tell a story?
From Scraps to Stage is an interactive creative theatre workshop that combines sustainability, community connection and resilience, as well as develops imagination and creativity. Participants will use recycled and repurposed materials such as cardboard, fabric offcuts, packaging, second hand clothes, and other reusable items to create characters, stage props, and simple costumes.
Through a series of fun theatre and drama activities, these objects will be transformed into original stories and performances.
The workshop demonstrates how materials that might otherwise be discarded can gain a second life through creativity and imagination.
The workshop will also encourage self-expression, build confidence and help participants develop public speaking and communication skills.
No acting experience is required - just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to have fun.
