Gardening with Tan - Companion Planting & Managing Pests

Price FREE – $20 AUD + BF Get Tickets

Event description

Could you use some help with your vegie garden?

Are you interested in living healthier together with nature?

Do you need support on the next step in your food growing journey?

Gardening with Tan offers an opportunity to learn by doing in a small group. Be guided by an experienced organic grower in her garden. These seasonal workshops are a fun casual way to build your skills and knowledge by helping Tan do what needs doing! Either buy a ticket now or register and pay on the day.

Take the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like or relax and enjoy the doing on an 8 acre property. Come dressed sun smart and ready to work; closed shoes, hat and gloves.

Tan’s garden is being established as a classroom to share organic techniques, biodynamic practices, and permaculture design. It was burnt in the December 2023 fires and some areas are being re-established.

Who’s Tan?

A passionate foodie who loves the creative challenge of eating seasonally. In a past life, she was a certified organic farmer and Café owner, just outside of Broome, where she grew culinary herbs, salad greens, vegies and tropical fruit (Fusion Herbs & 12 Mile Cafe).

Her training includes a Bachelor of Science (Environmental) and a Masters in Education (Social Ecology). And too many other things to mention here! Let’s just say theory and practice.
