Event description

Join Gecko Environment Council and Linda Nordin of SMEC for a talk about the circular economy and what it might look like on the Gold Coast and beyond.

Have you heard of the Circular Economy but are unsure what it means? How can circular business models help achieve sustainability targets, regenerate nature, and create resilience in our community? Join Linda Nordin, a Circular Economist Specialist and Project Engineer with SMEC, experienced change maker, and the leader of the Circular Economy Club GC, to understand more about the circular economy and the future we could have by embracing this concept of eliminating waste, keeping resources in circulation, and regenerating nature.

We will discuss practical examples and how to be more circular in your daily life, using examples from current actions happening on the Gold Coast. Come curious to learn and share as we explore ideas for the Gold Coast!

The talk will commence at 6:30 p.m., so please arrive by 6 p.m. to ensure you have enough time to grab a drink or a snack and chat with the other attendees.
