Hi, I’m Larissa, and if you’re here, it’s likely because something in your body already knows it’s time for a different way of living.
I’m the founder of Original Breath, a certified 9D Breathwork Facilitator and trauma informed coach with a background in nursing and mental health. I work with the nervous system at the level your body has been carrying life from, not at the level of mindset, motivation, or surface change.
I’ve been a parent for almost 25 years. I’m now 45. And for much of my life, responsibility came early.
Like many people my age, I was raised by parents who were never taught emotional safety. They did the best they could with what they knew, but regulation was not something we were shown or named. Survival was normal. Pushing through was normal. Being strong was normal.
So I learned to function early. To hold things together. To keep going.
I became a parent young, and from there I spent decades raising children, managing teams, running a company, and carrying the invisible load that comes with being the one others rely on. For a long time, I didn’t realise I was living from survival. I thought that was just strength.
I know this work intimately because I live it.
As a solo parent of four, I have moved through domestic violence, deep disconnection, financial pressure, and the constant responsibility of carrying everything alone. I have also lived the reality of parenting a child through addiction, and I understand the relentless vigilance, fear, grief, and nervous system strain that comes with loving someone whose journey you cannot take over. Alongside this, I understand the nervous system load that comes with leadership and running a business, the decisions, the pressure, and the demand to keep functioning.
What shifted everything for me was not insight.
It was regulation.
I gained this understanding through 9D Breathwork. Not as a concept, but as a lived, embodied experience. It was through this work that my nervous system finally learned safety, capacity, and flexibility. That is where my clarity came from. That is where my steadiness came from. That is where my life changed.
I also understand that our children carry nervous system patterns shaped by the environments they grow up in. That truth doesn’t come with shame. It comes with responsibility and hope.
Because here is what I know to be true. When you create change in your own nervous system, the impact does not stop with you. Regulation creates a ripple effect. It changes how you respond, how you repair, how you show up. And that shift flows into your children, no matter their age.
These experiences did not break me. They refined me.
They taught me how safety actually works in the body and why insight alone does not create change.
Every session I facilitate is grounded in nervous system literacy, regulation, and real world integration. We do not chase stories or force release. We create enough safety for the body to soften, settle, and regain capacity so the changes you experience do not stay in the session but become part of how you live.
I work in person across Queensland, including Roma, Miles, Chinchilla, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Capalaba, Gympie, and Hervey Bay, as well as online, holding spaces that are safe, grounded, and deeply human.
This is not self care. It is nervous system leadership.
And if something in you knows it is time to stop surviving and start living from a steadier place, you are in the right space.
