Herb Walk by Casey of Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing, With The Maple Street Co-op
Event description
Back by popular demand!
Maple Street Co-op is pleased to partner with local Naturopath, Herbalist and Dietitian Casey Conroy.
Join Casey to explore the abundance of nature and learn how the wild plants growing around us can be used as food and medicine. At the end of our medicinal plant walk, the conversation will continue around a pot of wild medicine tea that we will brew together. Bring your own mug.
The walk will be a gentle stroll through Maleny, mindfully gathering local herbs and sharing their virtues, and finishing at Maple Street Co-op Garden for our shared fresh wild medicine tea. Bound to be a delightful and educational morning.
Limited to 15 people so book now!

About Casey
Casey believes that we can learn a great deal about how to best care for ourselves from observing nature's cycles, from ancient traditions, and from listening to our bodies. The formal stuff: she has been a dietitian and nutritionist since 2012, and a yoga teacher since 2006. After many years dreaming of adding herbal medicine to her tool belt, she graduated as a naturopath in 2023.Â
In her work she draws upon her childhood growing up exploring forests, picking bush foods, watching her Malaysian mum incorporate Traditional Chinese Medicine into everyday cooking and life, and exploring remote corners of Australian wilderness with her meditation-addicted dad, her past life as a veterinarian and environmental researcher, and her lived experience with and full recovery from disordered eating.
When she's not green witching Casey enjoys bushwalking, napping, growing food, terrible 80’s glam metal, and exploring forest trails with her family. You can find out more about Casey here.
