Heritage Hands: Make 'n' Movie
Description
Bring your project and make at the movies.
Make 'n' Movie is a social night out celebrating the pleasure of making things by hand. Bring along your knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross-stitch, hand sewing, mending, beading or another portable handwork project and settle in for an evening of making alongside others while enjoying a film on the big screen.
Presented as part of Heritage Hands Festival: Sandgate, Make 'n' Movie brings the Heritage Hands philosophy into a relaxed, social setting - keeping hand skills visible, bringing people together through making, and creating opportunities for skills and knowledge to be shared.
We’re also hoping to have some Heritage Hands makers joining us on the night, creating opportunities to share techniques and knowledge, ask questions and perhaps even pick up a new skill along the way.
Whether you’ve been making for decades, have recently picked up a craft, or have a half-finished project waiting for some attention, Make 'n' Movie is about the simple pleasure of making in company.
Chairs will be provided, with tables available if you need a little more working space. Just bring your project and whatever materials you need to work on it.
