Community Resilience Event – Talkin’ Tough (Legless & Blind)
Description
A powerful, honest and highly engaging community event — open to all.
As part of Mallee Community Wellbeing Week, join Ben Pettingill & Mike Rolls (Legless & Blind) for a session that will have you laughing one minute and deeply moved the next.
Through raw, real-life experiences, they:
Challenge outdated ideas of “toughness”
Break down stigma around mental health
Share practical tools to support yourself and others
Create space for real conversations
Their sessions are known for sparking meaningful discussions that continue long after the event ends — helping communities feel more connected, supported and empowered.
Whether you're part of a sporting club, workplace, family or simply a member of the community — this session is for you.
Runs approximately 2 hours including welcome and short presentation form the sponsors/hosts, keynote from Mike and Ben, followed by a Q&A.
Open to all community members
Sponsored by M Group Mildura and Mental Health and Wellbeing Local
