Event description

It’s the Trees birthday and we need you to know how to look after them and give them what they need. Join us for this engaging, informative and practical workshop all about food forestry.

Anyone can grow a food forest in almost any space. Join this workshop to get an insight into how to do this at home.

In this workshops you will learn:

- The principles of permaculture

- The design principles of a food forest

- How to design and maintain a food forest suitable to our local climate

-  How to plant trees

- How to promote a healthy eco-system and soil health in your backyard

This workshop is facilitated by our Director Mitch Burnie. He is the founder of Adamama with a wealth of experience in edible gardening and food growing. He has a permaculture design certificate and is one of the Sustainability Hub’s facilitator of permabee and its 10 week permaculture design courses.
