Flamenco guitarist Paco Lara, born in Jerez, and dancer Sebastián Sánchez, whose father also hails from Jerez, come together in Jerezañía — a deeply personal and passionate flamenco performance.
This intimate concert brings the essence of Jerez to the stage through guitar and dance, celebrating lineage, artistry, and the raw emotion at the heart of flamenco.

About the Artists
Paco Lara – Flamenco Guitarist
Francisco Lara Puerto, known professionally as Paco Lara, is an acclaimed flamenco guitarist from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Beginning his musical journey at the age of 8, he embarked on a professional career by 16, recording albums and touring extensively with his brother José Lara. Paco has collaborated with flamenco legends such as Paco Cepero and has been a pivotal figure in Flamenco Fusion, performing with renowned bands like El Barrio and Los Delinqüentes. Since relocating to Australia in 2017, he has graced stages nationwide, including the Sydney Opera House and the Adelaide Guitar Festival. His solo albums, The Andalusian Guitar and Duende, have solidified his reputation as a leading flamenco guitarist in the Southern Hemisphere.
Sebastián Sánchez – Flamenco Dancer
Sebastián Sánchez is an accomplished Australian-Spanish flamenco dancer and choreographer with over 20 years of international experience. He began his flamenco journey in Brisbane before moving to Seville in 2008 to train under maestros like Andrés Peña and Rafael Campallo. Sebastián has performed across Europe, Russia, and Australia, participating in major festivals and productions such as 4Flamencomen, Poemas de Iberia, and Flamenco Capriccios. As a dedicated teacher, he shares his deep knowledge of flamenco through classes and workshops worldwide, continuing the traditions imparted by his mentors.
