Echo Omen seems to be the perfect alias for songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist Matthew Bracknell, with reverberated rhythms an inevitable part of his future. Based in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, Bracknell has always been fascinated by and influenced by rhythm, drawing on his natural surroundings for inspiration as he crafts soulful, atmospheric sounds that span from stripped back acoustic folk to downtempo indietronica, drawing comparisons to artists as diverse as José González, Quantic and Algiers.
