Welcome to Lily Pad book Club, a Newcastle based book club hosting monthly events to discuss all things non fiction, classics, politics, and theory. A space to discuss everything from the writing style of Virginia Wolfe to the analysis of capitalism, all in good company and a drink in hand.

Event Description

Join us this September at Shout Brewing Co for our Book Club! This month the group will be discussing The Jakarta Method by Vincent Bevins, a non fiction book that details the U.S. backed mass killing of one million Indonesians post ww2 to destroy the nation's communist movement, creating a blueprint for global anticommunist interventions that shaped the modern world.

Bring along a pillow, grab a drink, and settle in for an evening of discussion with some fellow book lovers.
