Event description

Liquid Lyrics, Sunshine Coast's most wordy, worldly and worthy spoken word is back again for another special evening of expression, vulnerability, healing and connection.

This months theme is "the revolution will not be televised"

What does a revolution look and feel like to you?

is it a spiritual revolution?

are you an activist wanting to effect change in the world?

is an internal revolution?

This is an opportunity for you to share your views on this subject no matter how out there or controversial, we do censor poetry, show up raw and unmasked!

Poetry slam rules

*3 minutes/ timer starts on the first word

1 point deducted for every minute over

*original work

* Judges chosen randomly in the crowd

The top three go into the end of year final for cash prizes to help you on your way to following your performance dreams.

$15 on line only to avoid disappointment as this event will sell out

Only 60 tix for this event and once they are sold no more will be available so get in early this time.

Jessie Higgins

Jesse Higgins is a visionary tribal folk musician and environmental educator, local to the Eumundi Bushlands of the Sunshine Coast. After many years of study pursuing an education in earth/environmental science, Jesse now writes songs with dedication to influence an emerging generation of empowered stewards. His music is inspired by Australian grass roots, Celtic folk songs and Nordic melodies, bound to invite listeners into a state of remembrance. His lyrics reflect on what is relevant to this age and the challenges he faces, weaving music and story telling to connect to our native spirit.
