The Australian Aphasia Association, supported by Aphasia Victoria, invites you to a delightful Long Lunch event that combines great food, fun, and a chance to make a difference.
Our goals are to raise awareness of aphasia and raise funds for the Australian Aphasia Association - the peak body for people living with aphasia in Australia.
Aphasia is a communication difficulty. It can affect speaking, understanding, reading, writing, using numbers, and using gestures. Aphasia is caused by damage to the language areas of the brain – due to a stroke, brain injury, infection, or disease. Aphasia affects language and communication. It does NOT affect intelligence!
The Australian Aphasia Association is a voluntary-run organisation, that supports people living with aphasia and their family members across Australia.
This celebration highlights the accomplishments of the Australian Aphasia Association and people affected by aphasia. After a complementary welcome drink, meet old friends and make new ones over a 2-course lunch. Hear from people who have been impacted by aphasia and help us celebrate another year of the Australian Aphasia Association.
Ticket Information:
Price: $125 per person plus booking fee
Ticket includes a welcome drink, a cash bar, lunch and a donation to the Australian Aphasia Association.
