A singing circle for mamas hosted by singer/songwriter/performer and a mama herself, Angie Who.

Lullaby Club is a mother-first approach designed to support women during the perinatal period, early years of parenting and beyond, through song, community, tea and cake!

It’s all about you, singing for wellbeing and connection to a community that knows exactly where you’re at.

There are no auditions, no solos, no sheet music.
Just simple songs taught by ear.

Angie has recently completed a Diploma of Creative Arts and Health and training to become a part of the ‘Singing Mamas’ network currently sweeping the globe.

How the Singing Mamas approach works:

It improves breathing, posture and muscle tension and contributes to mothers’ physical wellbeing
It releases endorphins which deliver pain relief and improved mood
It reduces stress hormone levels, benefiting the immune system
It stimulates cognitive function through learning new songs
It helps forge social bonds particularly quickly, improving social networks amongst mothers’
It creates a positive shared experience between mother and infant and increases mothers’ confidence in her parenting abilities

WHAT TO EXPECT:
60 minutes of warm ups & simple songs + 30 minutes of tea & cake.
There's no such thing as late at Lullaby Club.
Come late, leave early, never apologise...come as you are!

By bus - 370, 431, 433 stop outside the church on Glebe Point Road
Lightrail - Glebe stop is a 7 minute walk from the church
Parking - There is usually ample 2 hour paid parking in surrounding streets

I would say it’s a very warm and welcoming space that is not at all about musical skill, but more about connection, community and the love of music to bring people together, with their babies. The songs have been the soundtrack to my year and have got me through so many hellish car journeys, boring chores and also the most delightful times with my baby. Angie is so welcoming and skilled at what she does and the cake, tea and chats are as lovely and soul enriching as the music. I would also say the songs Angie chooses are really beautiful, not all rhymes for babies but soulful songs that nourish the mother, too."

"Lullaby Club is a sweet moment in my week. Angie is so welcoming, encouraging and relaxing. I can’t sing and was a little intimidated initially by all the beautiful voices but the lovely atmosphere quickly dissipated this feeling. The group of women drawn to Angie are all very lovely, and great value and company.
Lastly, as a mother of twins most activities are prohibitively expensive as you pay twice. This is a refreshing change!
