MADE Dance Community Connect - Devonport
Event description
MADE Dance Community Connect - DEVONPORT 2024
MADE will deliver dance workshops specifically tailored for older adults to enhance their skills and enjoy the art of dance.Â
Following our highly successful workshops in the North West in 2023, the team from Mature Artist Dance Experience are coming to Devonport in March and April 2024 to offer dance workshops that are fun, creative and enlivening.Â
Designed especially for older adults from the general community, these workshops are a precursor to MADE’s performances at the Burnie Arts Centre on April 17 and 18. MADE is delighted to offer two workshops in Devonport:
Monday March 25: 6-7 pm Contemporary Dance & Improvisation with To Carry / To Hold choreographer Liesel Zink & MADE Tutor Bec Cannon
Monday April 15: 6-7 pm Contemporary Dance & Improvisation with To Carry / To Hold choreographer Liesel Zink & MADE Tutor Bec CannonÂ
MADE’s nationally certified teachers have years of experience in the dance studio and on the stage. They are not only exceptional teachers, but are kind, encouraging and supportive of each dancer to learn more about movement while having fun.Â
AND!Â
In 2024 we have the added pleasure of our choreographer of MADE's brand new dance work 'To Carry / To Hold' joining the MADE Dance Community Connect team! Liesel Zink is an award-winning choreographer of Ukrainian and German descent. Her socially-engaged practice has seen her develop and present work around Australia, Asia and Eastern Europe.
PLEASE NOTE:
A ticket purchase will entitle you to one or both of these 1-hour sessions. Come and join us. We'd love to welcome you to find out a bit more about what 'mature dance' is and how MADE approaches it! The workshops are FREE. The small fee is purely for MADE Membership to insure you in the event of accident or incident.
