The Mid Century Chair | Chair making is considered one of the greatest yet rewarding challenges in woodworking: Compound angles; joints under stress and comfort. This chair was originally made by an iconic Australian company, Parker Furniture and the timber used will be Australian hardwood, ‘Blackwood’ and finished beautifully to a silky finish in Osmo Oil.
Join the Illawarra Woodwork School in the historic coastal area of Woonona to construct this design classic over 5 relaxing yet immersive and hands on days with other wood lovers.
Your tutors will be Stuart Montague, Director of the Illawarra Woodwork School & Edward Oliver, his trusty sidekick who has just finished his apprenticeship in cabinetmaking with the Illawarra Woodwork School.
