Matariki Puanga Night Ride 2024

Join us for a night ride under the stars along Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail followed by shared kōrero and kai to celebrate Matariki Puanga.

When: 4.30pm – 7.30pm, Wednesday, 26 June 2024

Where: Ride departs from Pioneer Village, 1A Recreation Road, Kaikohe

Schedule 

• Meet at Pioneer Village at 4.30pm for safety briefing. 
• Depart Pioneer Village at 5.00pm and access the cycle trail at Station Road. 
• Cycle to tunnel and back to quarry area and pause to enjoy kōrero under the stars.
• End ride back at Pioneer Village. 
• Enjoy free sausage sizzle and hot drink. 
• 7.30pm end of event.

All children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must bring their own bike, light or headlamp, and helmet. Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail Trust will provide high-vis safety vests.
