    This ticket is valid for one admission to Workshop 1: Friday 21st February Focus Area: COOLING THE HEAT: Conquering anxiety, overwhelm, insomnia and fatigue, and dealing with hot flushes and irritability. The changes that our bodies and minds experience as we move through menopause can be overwhelming to say the least! This three-hour workshop explores themes and practices designed to alleviate menopause anxiety, overwhelm and nervous agitation, ground and discharge excess energy, and soothe and nourish the nervous system. Improve your sleep and reduce fatigue with techniques and practices that will leave you feeling rejuvenated, grounded and nourished. We will spend time turning our focus inward, leaving the outside world behind and switching off the busy mind to find a place of deep healing and peaceful tranquility. During this workshop, we will also explore practices that release heat and ‘hot emotions’ from the body. We will move through a gentle and restorative practice to calm and cool the nervous system, releasing tension through the hips, belly and back. We will use poses and mindful breathing practices that target the abdomen, liver, heart and kidneys to detoxify and cleanse the body, and balance the brain. This will bring us to a place of rest, sending you home in a state of bliss.

    This ticket is valid for 1 admission to Workshop 2: Friday 28th February, 2025 Workshop 2: Friday 28th February Focus Area: BUILDING RESILIENCE – boosting low mood & energy, lack of motivation, sadness, grief and depression; soothing achy muscles and building strong bones! During your journey through menopause, you may feel like you don’t have the energy and vitality you once had. If you are feeling a lack of motivation, low mood or even sadness and grief as you move into this next phase of your life, this energizing and uplifting yoga workshop may be for you. Join us for an invigorating 3 hours, where we incorporate useful breathing techniques, powerful movement and postures to awaken the heart, move stagnant energy, and energise and empower your body. Reclaim your vitality as you build stamina and healthy bones to keep you strong and vibrant as you age. As we get older, our bone mass declines and muscles can weaken. This workshop also brings a focus on building bone density, strength and stamina. Engaging in a warming, challenging (yet accessible) practice, we will use sequences that can help tone and strengthen muscles and bones, improve bone density and build resilience and confidence. We will also explore weight-bearing standing techniques to build overall core and body strength; incorporate breath and grounding inner focus work and conclude with yin and restorative practices to help us balance the nervous system. This workshop includes the use of walls, chairs, blocks and blankets for increased accessibility, and is suitable for those with osteopenia and osteoporosis. Regular practice of this type will result in stronger, more resilient bodies.

It can be seen as an overwhelming struggle or approached as a transformative adventure! As a 50-something ‘Wise Woman’, I know only too well the changes and challenges menopause can present. Join me, Jane Crosswell (accredited Yoga for Menopause Teacher) for my new Wise Woman Workshop series, as we explore ways to support and nurture our minds and bodies through yoga practices, breathwork, meditation and guided relaxation specifically focused on menopause. We explore practices that help ease the myriad of symptoms that you might experience as you move into this next exciting phase of your life. In each workshop, we will explore a different aspect of menopause in a practical way. In these sessions, you will have an opportunity to share your experiences in a safe and confidential space with like-minded women. You will go home feeling more alive, nourished and empowered as the wise and wonderful woman that you are, armed with tips and tools to support you as you step confidently and powerfully into your Second Spring.
