My Story, My World: Fruit and Vegetable Printing Workshop for Kids aged 5-12

🍎 Fruit & Vegetable Printing

Discover the hidden patterns inside fruits and vegetables and turn them into imaginative works of art!

In this playful printmaking workshop, participants will use paint-covered fruits and vegetables to create colourful prints and unexpected textures. From the rings of an onion to the shapes of a capsicum, every print reveals unique patterns that can inspire new ideas and stories.

Once the prints have dried, participants will look closely at the shapes and marks they've created, just like finding pictures in clouds. Using pens and markers, they can transform their prints into creatures, landscapes, characters or anything else their imagination discovers.

This hands-on workshop combines printmaking, drawing and creative storytelling while encouraging curiosity, experimentation and imaginative thinking.

Who is this for?

Children aged 5-12 who enjoy storytelling, crafts, or creative play-no prior experience needed.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothes for messy crafts and a willingness to have fun.

Spaces are limited - bookings essential.

Participants will have the opportunity to exhibit the artwork they create during the My Story My World workshop series in the Youth Exhibition in September 2026.

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please let us know as soon as possible so the place can be offered to another participant.
