📿 Necklace Making with Cardboard Pendants

Create a one-of-a-kind necklace that tells your story!

In this fun jewellery-making workshop, participants will design and create their own wearable artwork using a colourful collection of secondhand beads, charms and trinkets. From alphabet beads and natural wooden beads to sparkling glass treasures, there are endless possibilities for creating something unique and meaningful.

Participants will also design and decorate their own cardboard pendant, adding colours, patterns, symbols or words that reflect their interests, memories or personality. By combining recycled and reclaimed materials, young artists will discover how creative reuse can give old objects a new life and a new story.

This workshop encourages creativity, self-expression and sustainable making while giving participants a special piece of jewellery to take home and wear.

Who is this for?
Children aged 5-12 who enjoy storytelling, acting, or creative play-no prior experience needed.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothes for messy crafts and a willingness to have fun.

Spaces are limited - bookings essential.

Participants will have the opportunity to exhibit the artwork they create during the My Story My World workshop series in the Youth Exhibition in September 2026.

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please let us know as soon as possible so the place can be offered to another participant.
