Natural Cleaning: A Low Waste Living Workshop
Event description
Natural Cleaning: A Low Waste Living Workshop
Tuesday 8th October | 6–8pm | Wānaka Community Hub
It’s back! Our last Natural Cleaning workshop sold out, and by popular demand we’re running it again. Come along and learn how to make your own simple, affordable and eco-friendly cleaning products in this hands-on, practical session.
You’ll roll up your sleeves to create effective products like our tried-and-true toilet pods and scented jars. We’ll also show you how to make everyday essentials such as all-purpose sprays, cream cleaners and laundry powder – all low-tox, low-waste, and free from single-use plastics, synthetic fragrances and harsh chemicals.
Led by our Low Waste Living team, this workshop will give you the tools to embrace a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. Whether you’re already on your sustainability journey or just curious about making small, positive changes for your home and whānau, this is the perfect place to start.
We’ll also have your favourite low-waste kai, including warming dal, crackers, a selection of dips and tasty drinks (and yes, we’ll be sharing these recipes with you too!).
You’ll take home your own workshop creations, along with a pick from our sustainable goodies table.
Tickets are just $10, including kai and drinks.
This Resourceful Communities event is proudly supported by Queenstown Lakes District Council’s Zero Waste District Programme.
