As a rigger, Precipice has studied extensively, and is constantly working to further his own abilities, while also sharing his resultant knowledge and skills with others. With a clean and methodical style, focusing on dynamic suspension, and combining subtle mental techniques, Precipice uses rope to capture both body and mind.

He has extensive experience teaching regular classes and weekend workshops across a variety of subjects and at a range of levels. As a founding member of Studio Kink Sydney, Precipice will continue to utilise his broad knowledge-base and passion for teaching to enrich and enliven the rope journey of others.

Class Description: Shibari is far more than patterns and tying techniques—it’s a profound tool for connection and communication between rigger and model. In this immersive class, participants will explore how to use floorwork techniques (Newaza) to build trust, deepen emotional and physical connection, and create dynamic, sensual rope scenes. Through a series of progressive exercises, students will learn:

• Basic and intermediate floorwork ties that are ideal for exploring connection.
• Techniques to incorporate movement, rhythm, and sensual energy into your scenes.
• Essential safety principles, including communication and body mechanics.

This intensive focuses on four key components: Immobilize, Expose, Control, and Play. By mastering these elements, riggers will gain the skills to enhance their ability to immobilize or expose their partner, creating new possibilities for control and creative interaction. Models will gain a deeper understanding of body mechanics and their role in shaping the energy and flow of the scene, making this class equally valuable for both roles. Whether you’re new to rope or an experienced practitioner looking to refine your skills, this class offers tools and techniques that can enrich all aspects of your rope practice.

Note: No prior experience necessary. Participants are required to bring their own rope and safety equipment. Contact us for recommendations for suitable ropes.
