Calling all young women and girls aged 16-24 in Maitland! You are the future and the future is now!

You're invited to our free NSW Youth Week 2025 workshop, "Future Proof Your Career," proudly brought to you by the Rural Women's Network.

Date: Monday 14 April 2025
Time: 11am-1:40pm
Location: The Gillieston Heights Community Hub, Maitland

This hands-on workshop will provide young women and girls with the opportunity to develop life and professional skills for the future. Together, we will learn to build powerful personal and professional connections, own your voice and boundaries, and thrive in a human-centered workplace!

This promises to be a fun, interactive day which will include meeting new people whilst discovering your potential. A delicious lunch of gourmet wraps, fruit and sweet treats will be provided, and you'll also receive a free giftbag full of goodies including exclusive RWN journal.

Meet your Facilitator, Mariane Power

Mariane Power

Mariane Power is a Clinical Psychologist and co-founder of The Posify Group, an award-winning social enterprise delivering positive psychology and career development education to young people. With over 15 years’ experience working with youth and families, Mariane equips the next generation with the skills and mindsets they need to thrive in a changing world.

Posify’s programs, including The Posify Academy, Australia’s first combined wellbeing and career-readiness program, help bridge the gap between education and industry. Recognised as a WorldClass Education Top Innovator by the World Economic Forum and Deloitte, Mariane and her team at The Posify Group partner with schools, communities and purpose-led organisations to prepare Gen Z for meaningful work and life.

Mariane is also a neurodiversity specialist, supporting individuals and organisations to adopt strengths-based practices that work with, not against, brain-based differences, unlocking potential in those who think differently. As the host of podcast Classroom 5.0, she shares stories and insights from leading experts on topics related to the future of learning, work and leadership. 

A passionate communicator, Mariane is a regular speaker at youth events and schools across Australia, including UN YouthLuminosity Youth Summit, and RWN. She’s delighted to return to RWN Youth Week following the success of her “Be Your Own CEO” session, continuing her mission to empower young people to lead with purpose.

  • A person over the age of 18 can register themselves for the event.
  • A person under the age of 18 needs permission from a parent/guardian to register for the event. Please check with your parent/guardian that it is ok for you to attend. 
  • By registering for this event, you are agreeing to participate in an interactive workshop facilitated by The Posify Group. 
  • There will be photography at the event. If you don't want to be photographed, please let us know and we will make sure you are not in any photos.

All young women and girls, including those with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander or identify as LGBTQIA+ are encouraged to attend.
