This workshop will guide you through developing your crime‑fiction idea into a solid framework from which you can build your novel.

You’ll dig into the themes driving your story and its setting, identify the crime sub‑genre you’re working in, define your target audience, and explore the dynamic between your protagonist and antagonist. We’ll also cover key craft considerations—tense and point of view, dual timelines, planning versus pantsing, and storyboarding your manuscript as a practical roadmap to reach completion. Jack will also answer questions on police procedures to help bring authenticity to your crime narrative.
