Weeds, Pests & Diseases

This workshop is part of Farmer Incubator's Pop Up Garlic Farmer course. It includes presentations by Dr Paul Horne of IPM Technologies and Dr Virginia Williamson of Melbourne University as well as discussion of the potential weeds, pests and diseases that might arise when growing garlic, strategies on how best to manage them and the effect on the crop’s outcome if not effectively mitigated. There will also be a tour of Silvertine Farm and Pollination Place at ECOSS Yarra Valley. Please bring weather appropriate clothing as some of this workshop will take place outdoors. Catering is provided.
