Pounamu Carving - Day 2

We are excited, once again, to offer the opportunity to work with Tūhono Taonga, Tūhono Tāngata to create individual pieces of Pounamu and kōhatu taonga. We will guide you through the kaupapa and create your very own taonga as a gift to yourself or someone else.

Pounamu can help with many things including depression and anxiety. It is also helpful with creating a positive atmosphere with its energy - Mauri -  bringing positive affects on the individual wearer. But more importantly it is a reminder of our place in the world, a unique creation made from a piece of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Please select only one day. This is wānanga will run for most of the day, so please allow plenty of time in the day to complete your mahi - there will be additional time and help available to complete the pieces on the day as needed.

(Appropriate clothing is advised due to working with spinning machinery and water, health and safety conditions will apply).
