Event description

Are you ready to make a difference to your community?

Come and find out what it takes to be a Volunteer QLife Peer Supporter!

QLife is Australia’s nation-wide, free, peer support, information and referral service for LGBTIQA+ people and is largely delivered by trained Volunteer Peer Supporters.

Living Proud is the QLife partner organisation in WA - based in Boorloo (Perth).

The first part of this session is open to anyone and will provide information for community members about QLife, who can access the service and how, as well as the broader work of Living Proud. In the second half people interested in volunteering with QLife are invited to stay to find out more about the volunteer role and how to apply. This includes:

  • eligibility criteria for the role
  • the application process
  • the training course and the skills you will gain
  • what we ask of volunteers and how you will support your peers in the community.
  • other roles are available for anyone who would like more occasional volunteer opportunities (events, fundraising, disability/accessibility support, social media and administration roles)

The venue is wheelchair accessible and light refreshments will be offered.

Serve your community, inspire change. Volunteer with us!
