The QUT Music Showcase is the culmination of a year's work by our graduating cohort - songwriters, producers and performers who've spent their final year at QUT turning original ideas into finished, stage-ready music. This year's line-up spans an unusually wide stylistic range, from folk and rock through to electronic production and cinematic scoring, reflecting both the breadth of the program and the individual voices each artist has developed. Doors and the bar open at 6pm, giving everyone time to arrive and settle in before the mainstage show begins at 6:30pm. After the final bow, the night continues with an after-party from 8:30pm, proudly sponsored by Vermilion Records - QUT's own student-run record label - featuring DJs and special guests. It's a chance to hear where these artists are headed next, and to be part of the community that's supported them getting there. Entry is free but reservations are essential; last year's event sold out, so we'd encourage booking early. Come support Brisbane's next wave of emerging musicians.
