Dropping into the medicine of the breath and the mindfulness of movement The Rhythmic Yogis and Mitch Brownlee take you on a journey to reconnect to your inner truth.

Through connection and intention we have the power to shed the light of our awareness on the conversation of the body, create an opportunity to let go of that which no longer serves us and open up to a new heart led conversation.

Gift yourself the opportunity to explore your inner landscape through a full day immersion of group meditation, Vinyasa, Yin, embodied movement, ceremony, breathwork, rhythm, sound and ecstatic dance to celebrate your beautiful self.

Through the intentional pairing of yoga practices and breathwork modalities, we aim to tune into the body through movement, flush out stagnant energies with the breath and integrate this process with sound and rhythm. This is an opportunity to dive deep within and celebrate all parts of yourself.

Lunch will be provided as well as snacks throughout the day. We will also close the space with a delicious soup and toast around the fire to ground us after dance. We encourage full immersion into this sacred container, so we ask mobile phones to be turned off for the duration of the day, although there is time for urgent matters to be tended to!

This event is suitable for every BODY over the age 18. Come as you are with an open heart and a good attitude! No experience or fitness level required.

INFORMATION ABOUT BREATHWORK

We will be flowing through multiple breathwork modalities during this event, one of which is Holotropic Breathwork. This is a powerful tool to release emotions that no longer serve you such as stress, trauma, grief, anxiety or sadness. Through this style of breath work you consciously flood your body with oxygen (prana), raising your vibration and squeezing out the negative emotions stored in the physical body. When it comes to emotions “the body remembers”. Negative emotions if not fully processed can get stored in the body and if left undealt with can fester in Dis- ease in the form of physical, emotional or mental issues. “The world a man see’s is the world he holds in his heart”. These emotions can then cloud your judgment, causing you to act out of fear instead of love and by releasing these disqualified energies you make more room for love, connection and well- being.

This style of breathwork is not advised for people who are pregnant or have been diagnosed with conditions such as bi-polar, schizophrenia or people with serious heart conditions, pacemakers etc.

MEET YOUR HOSTS -

THE RHYTHMIC YOGIS
We are Jessie and Sass and we love all things mindfulness, movement, rhythm and breath. Our paths crossed over 8 years ago at our home studio in Brisbane. We practiced Bikram Yoga together (yes, that's right.. the hot one!) and eventually set off to Teacher Training one after the other. We helped each other through the training process of becoming new teachers back in 2017.

Fast forward to 2021, we reconnected here on the Sunshine Coast and effortlessly and organically combined our love and passion for yoga and movement to birth what we now embody as the Rhythmic Yogis. Since moving to the Sunshine Coast over 3 years ago we have both completed our 500hr Yoga Training and are in love with the different styles of yoga that each offer something unique and different. With a combined 10 years of teaching yoga and over 30 years of practicing, yoga continues to help heal, rebalance, ground us in ways that are so powerful and profound. We are excited to be sharing these tools with you!

MITCH BROWNLEE
Mitch Brownlee is a certified breathwork facilitator who has been hosting group events for over 2 years, regularly hosting in the Sunshine Coast, Victoria, FNQ and at festivals all over the East Coast. He learned his craft through Dan Pauro from Spirit Breathwork, recently completing his Level 2 Certification. He intuitively weaves sound healings into his breath work sessions through the use of traditional instruments such as the Yidaki (Didgeridoo), Medicine drum, Flutes, Rattles and more. Mitch brings a high energy into his sessions with the intention of empowering and uplifting the collective consciousness through the medicine of breath and sound.
