Event description

Discover the unique marine creatures of the South Maroubra rock platforms and inter-tidal zone with local expert marine biologists Will Jones and Murray Cook.

As the ocean retreats it leaves an abundant array of sea creatures on display which the marine biologists will identify and discuss, explaining how each of us can minimise our impact on these fragile creatures.

This activity requires some physical challenges, including walking approximately 500 metres along the remnant sand dunes, along the beach, then walking on unsteady, uneven and slippery surfaces during the tour.

Meet at South Maroubra Surf Lifesaving Club. Wear closed-in shoes, a sunhat, sunscreen, a long sleeve top and bring a water bottle. Maximum 40 people per tour.
