SafeTALK – Caloundra Community Centre volunteers only
Event description
In your role as a volunteer with Caloundra Community Centre, you will have contact with people who are vulnerable to thoughts of suicide. SafeTALK is open to anyone 18 years and older, regardless of prior experience. It invites participants to become more alert to the possibility of suicide and how to prevent it and use the easy-to-follow TALK steps – Tell, Ask, Listen and Keep Safe.
Anyone can have thoughts of suicide so, as a family member, friend and community member, you may also make a difference to keeping other people safe. We encourage you to participate in this training and development opportunity.
NOTE THAT THE VENUE FOR THIS TRAINING IS THE CALOUNDRA COMMUNITY CENTRE
If you are under 18 years and keen to participate please email training.events@calcomm.org.au to discuss.
This training is not recommended if you're recently bereaved.
