This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Please join us for some "soft skill" Shibari! What is a soft skill? Soft skills are fundamental skills to ensure safety, minimise risk and maximise the physical experience had by shibari practitioners. This includes core knowledge around safety, consent, risk profiles, anatomy, communication, and understanding the equiptment and techniques used for shibari.

This class aims to achieve an increase in core knowledge and arm newer shibari practitioners with the skills required to practice safely prior to the application of rope upon the body.

Soft skills will run for the first half of the workshop, and then will finish up with some practical hands on rope fun!

There is no prerequisite for this class; it is aimed towards beginner level, however most skill levels can benefit from refreshing core knowledge.

What to bring: you may find it useful to bring a notepad/pen. Rope/shears are not required, but reccomended if you have some to bring for the practical component.

What to wear: Please dress in casual wear  similar to what you might wear to yoga if planning on joining in the practical component, we will be in a vanilla space.

Do I need a partner?: No, you may come alone, partnered, or in a group.

There will be the option to purchase a copy of the Soft Skill booklet for $10 on the day. This booklet isnt required to participate, but is a great addition and resource for reference at home.
