Come and celebrate Refugee Week at our Stories of Power Short Film Festival at Thornbury Picture House, Melbourne.

We will be premiering our special short film featuring RJ Dradi the Label. This will be followed by our other short films featuring talented refugee and migrant artists and entrepreneurs like Chef Aheda Amro, Racha's Syrian Kitchen, Rue Liew & Misagh Zamani.

We will also be showing films made by filmmakers from culturally diverse backgrounds.

You can donate an extra $5 to PARA Foundation, the charity supporting newly-arrived refugee families.

There will be a mini-market in the forecourt from 3pm, featuring products made by RJ Dradi the Label, Bandesh Wine and Spirits, Rue Liew Ceramics and more. Films start at 4pm. There will also be a special performance at the end of the screenings!

See you all on June 23!

*Welcome Merchant is a social enterprise that collaborates with refugee-owned businesses in Australia. We promote them for free on our online directory and social media channels. We also run free skill building workshops for these entrepreneurs. Your ticket purchase will help us keep these services for free and will go a long way to helping refugees and people seeking asylum.

This event is proudly sponsored by BizCover.
