Tas Whisky Week - Scotland Vs Tasmania Vs Ireland

Whisky is my Jam will be hosting this event at The New Sydney Hotel, Hobart this August #TasWhiskyWeek2022 to host a clash of the hemispheres!

How does whisky from the new world compare to that of the traditionalists?

Join the distillers in the bar at 6pm, with the event starting at 6.30pm. The night alternates between Scottish, Irish and Tassie whiskies. You be the judge.

You get to decide through tasting a lineup provided by:

Robbie Gilligan from Derwent Distilling Co

Johnny Halton from Transportation Whiskey

William McHenry from McHenry Distillery and

Ben James from Hobart Whisky

Held in the historic New Sydney Hotel, Hobart . The building dates from the 1830s and was originally a private residence before first becoming licensed as a hotel in 1869 through its builder, Robert Wiggins. The venue was known as the Builders Arms Hotel in teh 1880's and then the Sydney Hotel in 1887.

Ticket price includes:

• 4 Tasmanian whiskies
• 3 Scottish whiskies
• 1 Irish Whiskey
• 2 course meal
