Te Reo Māori Sentence Structures
Event description
This 2 hour session is suitable for those wanting to learn how to form sentences in te reo Māori. You don't necessarily need to have any knowledge of Māori language before coming - but knowing some will certainly help!
The session will cover;
- pronouns (I, you, we, they, he, she)
- common verbs (sleep, walk, run, go, swim, stand, sit, work, play, sing etc.)
- how to structure simple sentences in the past, present, and future tense
Although this class covers grammar, it will be done in an interactive way - so you need to be willing to give the language a go, through participation in different activities with your classmates. It might require you to step out of your comfort zone - but that's how we learn!
Te Reo Māori teacher Kate White is facilitating this session, to give you a chance to practice using te reo, improve your pronunciation and develop a better understanding of the language.
Limited numbers - so sign up now for a fun filled, practical session focused on helping you create, say and understand simple sentences.
Please note, the same session is being offered at two different times;
- Monday October 31st, 7pm - 9pm
- Tuesday November 8th, 9am - 11am
