    Event description

Cycling nutrients is the key to a healthy organic garden. But which system is right for you?

Knowing more about waste management and organic gardening can help you reduce your environmental impact, while growing a more productive and fulfilling garden – and composting, worm farming and bokashi are all great ways to cut down your gardening footprint in an urban environment.

Kat Lavers, a renowned horticulturist, and the owner of “The Plummery”, will share tips and techniques that can help you to harness your waste for growing organic veggies in your own backyard.

In this workshop we’ll look at compost, worms and bokashi, plus other simple ways to recycle prunings and food scraps at home. Learn the strengths and weaknesses of each, how to avoid common mistakes and diagnose common problems. Compost like a pro – while keeping it simple!
