Irish airs meet Italian sonatas: an evening of music, storytelling and dinner with international guest cellist Carina Drury.

Join us at Tea House Books in Denmark for an evening of music, storytelling and dinner with international guest cellist Carina Drury.

The Fiddler and the Bard is a celebration of Irish and Italian music in 18th-century Dublin. When the Italian virtuoso Francesco Geminiani met Turlough O'Carolan, Ireland's great bard, he challenged him to compose in the Italian style. The result was Carolan's Concerto, and a meeting of two great traditions. Hear their story in heartfelt Irish airs, laments and dances alongside elegant Italian sonatas.
