The Joyful Place Turns ONE! Birthday Bash - for the BIG Kids

One year of creating joy 💛

The Joyful Place is turning ONE! 🎂

It started with an empty little space and a very big hope: to create a place where children felt safe to try, families felt welcome to stay, and joy could be found in the simplest moments.

One year later, this little space has become our Home for Joy—not because of what we put inside it, but because of every child, family, teacher and friend who has brought it to life.

Now, it’s time for our big kids to come home and celebrate with us! 🎉

Designed for children aged approximately 5–10 years.

Each child will take part in a special birthday experience showcasing three of our big-kid programs.

🎨 Joyful Art Club

Children will help create one giant birthday cake artwork —a permanent reminder of the children and families who helped bring The Joyful Place to life.

🤝 RISE

Children will take on The Great Birthday Cake Challenge, working together to build the tallest freestanding birthday cake using a collection of creative materials.

Along the way, they’ll practise teamwork, communication, responsibility and encouragement.

🧇 WOW: Waffles Around the World

Discover how waffles can look and be enjoyed differently around the world.

Children will explore a few international waffle traditions before creating and enjoying a delicious mini waffle of their own.

We’ll finish each session with a hosted party game, birthday song, music and a group photo—giving families a little taste of what a birthday party at The Joyful Place can feel like 🎈

Please note:

This is a free event with limited tickets. One ticket is required for every participating child. If registrations reach capacity, families will be allocated a 50-minute session between 10am and 12.30pm. We will contact registered families with their session time before the event.

Face painting is limited and cannot be guaranteed for every child. Families are welcome to enjoy the photobooth, garden and displays before or after their session.

Please join the waitlist if your preferred session is fully booked. If your plans change, please cancel your ticket so another family can attend.
