Our Samhain Letters π
Description
A community gathering for women, centred around letter writing, reflection and connection. Rooted in soft, Celtic-inspired rituals, the evening opens space for pen, paper and presence. Held in Shell Space, an ethereal bubble filled with wonder and magic π§π»π
Saturday 31 October | 6.30 PM to 8.30 PM
Our theme is SAMHAIN (inspired)
Samhain is the old turning, the night the year exhales, and the veil grows thin. It is the Celtic new year, when the harvest was gathered in, the fires were lit, and a place was set at the table for those who have gone before. Although, we are in the Northern Hemisphere Iβd love to celebrate its essence β¨.
π This month we write to home.
We all carry a piece of what home means to us inside. It can be felt in language, in food, in our mannerisms, in a person's hands, in a table we still return to, if only in memory.
This evening is an invitation to write to your roots. To the people, places and moments that shaped who you are today. Maybe it's a letter to your grandmother in the town you grew up in, or to an uncle who lives interstate. Maybe it's to the place that raised you, or to one you found yourself in later. Maybe it's to a version of yourself who needed to feel at home.
Through guided prompts and earthy ritual, you'll write freely. No pressure, no expectation.
Dress for the veil π―οΈ
Come robed for the old night. Velvet, silk, lace, flowy, drapes, capes whatever calls to you. Deep plum, moss, black or a bright pink, sunshine yellow this is about feeling into the Samhain spirit in your own way! Long sleeves, trailing hems, something soft enough to sit and write. Wear a piece that carries a story, a grandmother's ring, an inherited shawl, a scarf from a place you loved. Or something you have wanted to wear for a festive occasion but havenβt had the opportunity.
