Discover Mulgoa by Bus – Two Hidden Houses

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Travel by bus to visit two private houses (exterior only) at Mulgoa hidden from public view. The Cottage (c. 1810) was home to Edward Cox before he built Fernhill (c. 1840).  Its landscape remains largely unchanged since the 1850s.  Fairlight is a substantial Victorian house (c. 1870) with an impressive barn set in a garden of angophoras and Port Jackson Figs.

Please meet at the parking lot for the Community Hall in Mulgoa Park (corner of Mulgoa and Littlefields Rds) 15 minutes prior to the start time and wear comfortable shoes.  Participants should be physically able to board the bus and walk on rural, but relatively level, grounds.

Note that you may use your NSW Discover Voucher for this event.

Visits to St Thomas Church may be made separately but are not part of this tour.  The gates may be open from 10am to 3pm.

Fernhill Walking Trail must be booked separately:
Fernhill Walking Trail Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite.

Light refreshments will be served at The Cottage.
