Tufting Workshop | Ben David
Description
Pick up a tufting tool and add your mark to a collective artwork.
Join Ben David, the artist behind Threads of Listening, for a hands-on workshop exploring the craft of hand-tufting. Created during Ben's Artist in Residence program at FORM Gallery, Threads of Listening is a multi-sensory exhibition of hand-tufted textiles and sound, exploring the connections between touch, landscape and memory.
In this workshop, Ben will guide you through hand-tufting techniques as you experiment with wool, colour and texture. Together, participants will contribute to a shared textile work that grows across each session and brings community voices into the making.
Drawing on Ben's practice as a textile artist and his work in disability-led arts and access, this relaxed session sparks creativity, conversation and collective making. Beginners are welcome, and all materials are provided.
