Event description

Design and Create your own Tuktuku Panel!

This full day course is organised by Te Huka Tai Trust and run by Michelle Brett from Hakatere Marae. Michelle will take us through an introduction to Tukutuku Panels - tikanga, history, meanings of the designs etc.

Participants will get their panel ready and painted then design and weave their own tukutuku panel.

All resources provided. 

This wānanga is limited to 12 participants so book your spot before it sells out. No experience necessary - it is suitable for beginners, men and women. It is not suitable for children.

Enjoy a wonderful day at the marae in the good company of others and go home with something special!

A ticket to this wānanga would make a great Christmas present for yourself or someone you love!

The Tukutuku Panels wānanga is available at only $30 per person, thanks to funding from Lotteries.
