Event description
This FREE short workshop provides professionals, practitioners, and frontline workers with the knowledge necessary to support the needs of FDV victim-survivors during and following a crisis. Participants will learn what constitutes good practice within a crisis intervention model for adult victim-survivors of FDV.
Learning outcomes:
- Define a crisis, crisis intervention, and recognise crisis precipitators
- Demonstrate communication and active listening skills critical to support individuals in crisis
- Identify good practice approaches when working alongside clients in crisis
- Employ crisis intervention techniques to support the client through their crisis situation
The workshop is for anyone working in a crisis service and directly with victim-survivors of family and domestic violence.
