Warren Fahey's Bush Ballads, Folk Songs & City Ditties @ Humph Hall
Event description
2025 marks the 60th year of Warren Fahey’s one-man lifetime campaign to remind Australians of their colonial cultural inheritance. “I am a cultural historian who uses songs, stories, humour and poetry as signposts to our unique history and to pinpoint our changing national identity."
Although the recipient of the Order of Australia, Prime Minister’s Centennial Medal, Australian Recording Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the prestigious Don Banks Music Award, and an acknowledged ’national treasure’, Warren prefers to say he is a graduate of the ‘Dingo University of the Outback’.
At Humph Hall Warren will perform an afternoon concert with his long-standing musical partners, Marcus Holden (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo) and Garry Steel (accordion).
